The AI assistant

The assistant is the chat panel in the bottom-right corner, on every page. It already knows your profile, and it knows what you are looking at — ask about "this job" or "this application" and you don't have to explain which.

What it can answer

• About a job — what the posting is really asking for, where you fit it and where you don't, what to emphasise.
• About an application — what you sent, what has happened since, what to say next.
• About your profile — what is thin, what is missing, how something reads to someone who has never met you.

It answers from what you have actually written down. If your profile doesn't say it, the assistant won't claim it.

It suggests changes — you apply them

On pages where an edit is possible, the assistant can propose one: correcting a role's dates, rewriting a job description you pasted in, moving an application to the next stage, logging what happened in an interview.

Nothing is ever changed for you. A suggestion arrives as a card under the reply, showing exactly what would change, and it does nothing until you press Apply. Open the assistant on a page and the panel lists what it can suggest there, before you type anything.

Every applied change is listed under Recent Changes, where most of them can be undone — newest first, so undoing one never leaves a later change sitting on a value nobody chose.

What it doesn't do

The assistant is not the whole app, and it will tell you so rather than pretend otherwise. Running searches (Job Import), writing tailored CVs and cover letters (on the application itself), preparing interview material (Interview Prep) and exporting your profile (Import & Export) are all yours to do — ask about them and it will point you at the page.

Using your own AI assistant instead

If you already work with an AI assistant elsewhere — Claude, or anything else that speaks MCP — you can point it at your profile instead, from Connected Apps. It gets the same reading and the same suggest-but-never-apply rule.

You choose what each key may do and what it may see, and you can revoke it at any time: Connecting your own AI.

Costs

Each message costs a few credits, the same as generating a cover letter, because it runs the same model over the same material — charged by how much the model actually read and wrote, so a short question costs less than a long one.
